We all love to indulge in treats, and this week we have two recipes that let you pamper yourself with some of your favourites in a way you may never have experienced them before!

Cacao and Sweet Avocado mask

Cacao powder – yes chocolate – is rich in antioxidants and great for toning our skin, while avocado is rich in oils and nutrients, and honey is softening and moisturising.

Ingredients:

1 perfect avocado
2 tablespoons cacao powder
2 tablespoons raw honey

Directions:

1. Blend all ingredients together

2. Smooth on skin and leave for half an hour. Ideal while you are soaking in the bath

This recipe makes enough for four facials, so get your friends over, or you can eat the leftovers for dessert!

Banana and Olive Oil Hair Booster

Did you know that bananas are great for your hair and scalp?  They are full of nutrients that can repair dry and sun-damaged hair and skin. Olive oil is a super conditioner that softens hair, and leaves a natural shine.

Ingredients:

2 ripe bananas
2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients together in a food processor, or mash together with a fork to make a smooth paste.

2. Massage thoroughly into your hair and scalp, and cover with a shower cap for half an hour.  Again, this can be left on while you relax in the bath.
